Ms. Annette Riggs has 20 years’ experience in trade, distribution and fulfillment businesses, with a particular expertise in non-cash execution models. Of note, Ms. Riggs has in-depth knowledge of the infrastructure, processes, organizations and leadership within the $650 Billion commercial barter industry and has focused much of her efforts in the development of specialized complementary currency applications.

Ms. Riggs is currently assisting in the development of exchange systems for communities, businesses and organizations with shared value systems for the sustainable health of communities, the broader economy and our shared ecosystem. The primary focus is on education, simulation and learning tools that facilitate more widespread understanding and adoption of new currencies and trade practices. These initiatives include the promotion of a revolutionary multi-party transaction technology that does not require the use of any currency, traditional (trade credit) software and mutual credits systems to customize technology and methodology for varied applications.

As a Co-founder and founding President of barter.com Corporation (now Recipco), Ms. Riggs helped to design and develop the first translation of barter services for online commerce. She designed specific programs and strategies for small business and large corporate barter applications. As President, her responsibilities included business development, strategic alliances, marketing and customer service.

Ms. Riggs has played an integral role in the establishment of new technology applications for barter systems, and continues to support innovation and leadership practices in the trade industry. She has worked closely with technology development teams for systems design and interacted extensively with Venture Capital firms and private investors for the initial funding of both barter.com and the Barternet Corporation (intagio.com).
