Georgia Tech Research Institute, 1974-Present: Heads up research efforts in the integration of Image Analysis, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and Computer Visualization in environmental and planning applications. Branch Head of the Image Analysis and Visualization Branch and Associate Director of the Georgia Tech Center for GIS. Manages software development efforts of tools for geographic analysis and performs research applications of multi-spectral and hyperspectral image data. Member of the Virtual Environments Group within the Graphics, Visualization, and Usability Lab at Georgia Tech. Develops techniques for the interactive visualization of three and four dimensional (including time) on unix and PC environments. Co- developer of the Georgia Tech Virtual Geographic Information System (GT- VGIS). Earth Resources Data Analysis Systems (ERDAS), 1978-May 2001: Co-founder and owner; advised on current and projected technology trends in visualization and image analysis |
